Marie Gluesenkamp Perez is a fifth-generation Washingtonian, small-business owner, and mother who represents Washington's 3rd Congressional District in Congress. Before being elected, she and her husband, Dean, built and operated an independent auto repair shop in Southwest Washington.
Marie earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Reed College. Her experience as a small-business owner in the trades informs her focus on working families, small businesses, manufacturing, and practical solutions to the challenges facing Southwest Washington.
