Understanding Council Districts and Charter Members
Council districts divide the county into geographic areas, with each district electing its own councilmember. This system ensures that every part of the county has a dedicated representative who understands the local community and can speak for its needs.
Charter members review and updat the county’s charter, the document that functions as the county’s local constitution.
