John Zingale is an award-winning public-school teacher and longtime civic advocate. He has spent more than 13 years teaching and has received state and national recognition for his work in education and history.
Before becoming a teacher, John spent more than 16 years working in the grocery industry, beginning as a teenager bagging groceries and working his way into management. As an assistant store director, he managed budgets and sales exceeding $30 million and worked to improve underperforming stores.
John holds a master's degree in teaching from the University of Portland and a bachelor's degree in history from Northern Illinois University. He currently serves on the Clark County Historic Preservation Commission.
