18th LD Democrats Reorganization - December 2018

This month:
For those that are newly elected PCO’s, every two years we elect a new board of officers for our LD. Only PCO’s who filed to be elected to the two-year position last May, and who won by default, or by election on the Primary ballot August 6th are allowed to vote in reorganization. If you are not an elected PCO, while you will not have a vote in these elections, you are an extremely important part of our organization and should be a part of this meeting and the celebration of moving forward with a new executive board!
Here is a list of the positions and a brief summary of their duties:
Chairperson:
a) Directs the affairs of the 18LDDCC as its chief executive officer
b) Ex-‐officio member of all 18LDDCC committees
c) Serves as the presiding officer at all 18LDDCC Meetings
d) Represents the 18LDDCC on the Clark County DCC Executive Board
Vice Chairperson:
a) Must be of opposite gender as the Chairperson
b) In absence of Chairperson, serves as presiding officer and assumes any required duties of the Chairperson
Secretary:
a) Keeps a record of all 18LDDCC Meetings
b) Sends meeting and event notifications in timely manner
c) Maintains the 18LDDCC membership roll, member contact information and dues status.
d) Maintains 18LDDCC Bylaws
Treasurer:
a) Supervises 18LDDCC financial affairs and maintains financial records
b) Prepares and files Public Disclosure Commission (PDC) reports, as required by law; and keeps current with PDC regulations and requirements.
c) Collects and disburses funds and provides a financial accounting report to the membership at Regular meetings
State Committeeman and Committeewoman:
a) Represent the 18LDDC at State Central Committee meetings
Communications Officer
a) Coordinates with Chairperson and Board to create and maintain an online presence for the 18LDDCC
b) Publicizes 18LDDCC activities and events to the members and media
PCO Coordination Officer
a) Recruits, trains and assists 18LDDCC PCOs
b) Notifies the Clark County Elections office of PCO status changes.
c) Develops and coordinates PCO training programs for the 18LDDCC
Community Affairs Officer
a) Coordinates with the 18LDDCC to recruit qualified nominees for office
b) Helps develop and coordinate events and community outreach to pursue 18LDDCC goals and priorities
c) Maintains the 18LDDCC Meetings and Events Calendar
Volunteer Coordination Officer
a) Contacts and qualifies volunteers for service with the 18LDDCC
b) Maintains the 18LDDCC Volunteer Contact List
c) Coordinates with the Chairperson and Board to schedule volunteers for 18LD sponsored or related events and activities
